Guide: Turning teamecho Feedback into Actionable Team Measures
This guide supports leaders in using teamecho survey results efficiently without significant extra effort, tackling the most relevant topics together with their team, and implementing sustainable improvements.
teamecho delivers valuable insights—but real change only happens through shared dialogue. When you as leaders discuss results as equals with your team and distribute action items, it not only strengthens trust but also directly shows your employees that their voice makes a difference.
This guide is designed to help you turn collected feedback into concrete team successes with minimal effort.
- Reviewing results & filtering relevance (prework for leaders)
- Best practice: The 10-minute impulse in your regular team meeting
- Clearly assigning responsibilities & roles
- Documenting transparently & following up
1. Reviewing Results & Filtering Relevance (Prework for Leaders)
Before discussing feedback with the team, the leader gets an overview in the teamecho dashboard:
- Identify trends & focal points: Which categories show noticeable patterns (both positive and negative)? Where are significant changes compared to the previous month?
- Ask the key question: "Which 1–2 topics currently have the biggest impact on our daily work?"
- Maintain focus: Do not try to address all feedback at once. Focus on a single, truly relevant topic per month.
2. Best Practice: The 10-Minute Impulse in Your Regular Team Meeting
Instead of scheduling long workshops, the discussion of results can be seamlessly integrated into an existing meeting (e.g., your weekly team meeting or Jour Fixe):
Process (approx. 10 minutes):
- Introduce the topic (2 min.):As a team lead and manager, present the topic or result that emerged in the tool (e.g., "Our score for 'Information Flow' has dropped" or "There are open points regarding 'Processes'—see comments").
- Reflect together (4 min.):Briefly discuss the topic as a team:
- "What does this result mean specifically for our daily work?"
- "Where exactly did things get stuck in recent weeks?"
- Agree on one action item (4 min.):Decide together on the single lever you will work on in the coming month.
- Example: "For one month, we will test briefly summarizing key decisions in our chat channel."
3. Clearly Assigning Responsibilities & Roles
To ensure action items don't get lost in daily business, create a clear framework:
- Rotating "Topic Lead": Implementation doesn't always have to rest on the leader's shoulders. A team member takes ownership of the agreed measure for the month ("Topic Lead").
- Concrete framework: Define together:
- What exactly should happen?
- Who is driving it?
- By when or at what cadence will it be implemented?
4. Documenting Transparently & Following Up
- Enter in the Newsfeed: Record the agreed measure directly in the teamecho Newsfeed. This keeps progress visible for everyone (including team members who were absent).
- Review next month: In the following month's meeting, briefly check:
- Did the measure help?
- Do we keep it, adjust it, or is the topic completed?
Tip: You can see exactly how the Newsfeed works and what entries look like here.
Utilize teamecho as a compass: When you actively involve your team and share responsibility, simple feedback turns into a lived culture of shared growth.
Quick Summary for Leaders:
- Choose 1 topic (check relevance)
- Discuss for 10 min. in your team meeting (understand root causes)
- Define 1 concrete measure + 1 responsible person
- Log in the teamecho Newsfeed & review the following month
