How can my company use teamecho labels?

Labels are a great asset for editing comments. To help you get the most out of it across your organization, here's some input to help you get started with labels.

Comments are the most valuable feedback from your team members. It contains suggestions for improvement, wishes, comments and often solutions for existing challenges.

The better and more transparent you work with this in-depth feedback, the more exciting and lively participation in teamecho becomes. But this requires the right tools. 😄🛠️

That's why we created the teamecho labels - a way for you to record thoughts directly on the comment or create your own categories for comments.

To make a collaborative use of labels possible, you should think about the following in advance.

Structur is important

Clearly, labels help you keep track of your comments and allow you to search for topics that are important to you. The big question you need to ask yourself in advance - how do you want to use labels internally?

If you want to use labels centrally, the clustering of comments will remain in the hands of the admins and you will probably want to keep track of strategic HR topics.

However, if you want to use labels in a decentralized way, it makes sense to introduce your managers to the use of labels and, if necessary, to work with your steering group to develop a label catalog that contains possible label settings and can be used as a template.

It is advisable to always point out to search the label drop-down menu for labels that have already been set so that topics are not unnecessarily duplicated. Label duplications such as: Education and Training / Continuing Education / Continuing Training; Cafeteria / Canteen,.... can be avoided in this way.📝

Tip: As admin you can go through your comments once and determine which topics have already appeared in them and start setting labels accordingly. This will create a predefined drop-down menu that will be displayed automatically when you label.

Which topics should be recorded?

Of course, this is entirely up to you. However, we can provide you with some guidance.

Differentiate between content labels and status or process labels.

Content labels

These can be roughly divided into 3 areas.

  1. Strategic HR or OE topics: For example, you can capture labels to track which comments relate directly to business goals (e.g. employer branding, appreciation,...).
  2. Strengths or weaknesses: Label comments that reflect resources (e.g. team spirit), but also challenges you are currently facing and want to improve.
  3. Situational labels: Use these to filter comments according to current situations (e.g. crisis or strong growth).

Tip: Also use the labels to highlight positive things 💕 Disclosing how much positive and useful feedback has been received is soul balm for the entire company.

Status labels/process labels

With this approach, you can create work processes directly in teamecho and thus not only promote further work with the results, but also create collaboration.

For example, managers could create labels for admins such as "important for XY", "set company-wide action", "please respond", etc.

Or you could use labels to mark the status of a comment as "edited," "action being implemented," "meeting required at JF," etc. This way, an admin or manager can always see exactly whether actions have already been taken on a particular comment.

There are many possibilities with the labels. In any case, try to find a process that suits you and your managers, makes it easier for you to process the comments, and allows you to make the best use of your colleagues' in-depth feedback.

Note for team and department managers: Labels can only be activated by administrators.
You don't see any labels as a team or department manager and would like to work with them? Just ask - your administrator. 🤗
