Newsfeed: Tracking and Recording Actions and Information in teamecho

In teamecho, you have the option not only to gather moods and feedback but also to record and track actions and important information. You can easily find these under the Newsfeed.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Set a title: A clear title helps your team quickly understand what the post is about. This creates clarity and saves time.

  2. Add a description: Here you can include all the important details. Whether it's an action or general information, the description offers space for everything essential.

  3. Choose the "Actions" post type: If you select the "Actions" type, you can define the current status of an action:

    • Planned
    • In progress
    • Completed

You can also set a due date for when the action should be completed. This helps you keep track of deadlines and progress.

  4. Set visibility: You can decide who can see the posts – whether it's specific teams, a whole department (so, also all teams in this departmetn), or the whole company.

Visibility in detail

This is how the visibility of entries in the Newsfeed works in detail:

  • Administrators: can see all entires, no matter which organization unit is selected for the visibility.
  • Department leaders: can see all entries with visibility for the company, their own department or sub-department, or teams in their departments.
  • Team leaders and members: can see all entries with visibility for the company, their own team, or their department.

Examples:

  • An entry visible for the company can be seen by all administrators, department leaders, team leaders and members in the whole organization.
  • An entry visible for a specific team, can be seen by all administrators, as well as the department and team leaders and team members of this team.

Who can edit or create entries?

You can choose who can edit or create entries for which organization unit(s) in My company -> Configuration -> Visibilities. There is a separate "Edit newsfeed" checkbox for this purpose. So, for example, if you check the box for team leaders in the own team, team leaders can edit or create entries that are visible in teams they lead.

Benefits for your team:

The main advantage of recording actions in teamecho is that all team members can instantly see what has already happened and what is still in progress. Especially for projects that take longer or are being implemented at the organizational level, tracking ensures that no one loses track. Everyone stays informed and knows exactly what steps are coming next.

This way, teamecho helps you not only gather feedback but also drive sustainable changes forward and keep everyone updated.
